If I'm understanding some things about the guy, hes holding a major grudge against GOD over some things. I'm thinking it was due to the fact he lost a big ministry he once had some sort of leadership in.
When satan is allowed to bash a bigtime ministry such as he had, the place was obviousely not blessed and protected. Don't know what his and his followers beliefs were, but they must of not been consistant with GOD's plan. I'm sure he blames GOD to the utmost. He is in a complete denial of GOD and His existance at the moment, and satan keeps him in the dark by controlling him with such folks as that one joker steve duff. Him and other so-called "friends" play a major part for satan by controlling him and keeping him down, just like a little puppet.
Anyways, if he was saved and part of GOD's flock, he will not be lost, unless he truley wishes to keep grapling onto someone who lost and was a loser from the beginning. Satan, the oldest loser /chuckle
It will take many prayers and intercessions to break the controlling hold satan has upon him through his friends and such. I'll ask The LORD about him, but if it is not his time yet, then I will follow GOD in His wishes. I'm not gonna waste my time on someone until GOD is ready to move. Don't mean that to be rude fellas, I just make sure I'm not wasting time that could go to other things that are just as important in prayer, and maybe more important at the moment.
Things have to be persued when GOD is ready to move.
