My bad. Its's not in the OT, it's "Jewish reckoning". They reckon that firstly the Sabbath is a feast day, not a fast day (Lev.23:1-3) and that fasting makes the Sabbath "gloomy". Moreover, many pagan influences have tried to introduce fasting on the Sabbath, as an attack on the Sabbath keeping Jews.

Far be it from me to accept "Jewish reckoning". Just be careful that you don't weaken yourself with your Sabbath fasting, the Sabbath is for rest and replenishment <!-- sWink --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/wink1.gif" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /><!-- sWink -->
