I need trustworthy moderators, especially seasoned Peshitta.org participants such as yourself, to become moderators along with me. People like Christina and yourself and Ryan, who are willing to wield the "delete" sword, and the "ban" dagger, if necessary.

This thing has got to stay on focus. And if that means you delete a post that I personally make, so be it. I can be guilty of straying just as much as the next guy. It's just some abuse the leniency here.

I'll do my best. The requirements for this job are fanatical patience, spiritual discernment and cold resolve that rivals the Godfather. Pulling the plug on an offending topic or wayward thread must be decisive. It takes discernment and a patient spirit to know when and why to pull the plug. I look forward to working together with you Paul, Christina and Ryan.
Some topics come very close to the edge without actually violating forum rules. You can see that the participants are in a heated exchange but it's a cohesive and intelligent exchange so... "let it ride"! Off topic subjects need to be corrected quickly before they become a distraction. Sometimes the topic finds its way back on the rails all by itself. Other times it needs gentle coaxing. Other times a warning or short decisive rebuke. The last resort is a ban.

Nevertheless, the purpose of moderators is to streamline the forum topics. This saves server space and makes referrencing of any topic much easier. It's not possible to always be squeaky clean but that is the aim. I'm willing to give it a go.
