How different is the Peshitta Aramaic in comparison to Talmudic Aramaic?
I am looking into getting a major in Semitic languages and I want to be able read the Peshitta Aramaic as compared to the Hebrew translation of the Peshitta that I have. I have a few Mishnaic and Talmudic Lexicons and I am wondering if they will be able to assist me.
