shlomo oh Paul,

Among the Maronites we use the word ( 'teed ) in conjunction with a verb to designate its future. I know that Syriac Orthodox have dropped its usage. How about the Assyrian, do you still use it, or have you dropped it?

Shlama Akhi Keefa,

We call the Imperfect tense the "Zawna da'Theed" (i.e., "The coming time" or "Future Tense") see Lesson 124 (Level Five) at http://www.assyrianlanguage.com
