Meaning of Isra-eyl
#16
I am not understanding nation in the political and ethnic sense though, I see nation as a collective body of people who are bound to God and his law.

shlomo oh Gentile,

If you see it in this way, then from the following quote "a nation and an assembly of nations", you and other people who aren't from Israel would then be part of the "assembly of nations/assembly of peoples", as such by spiritual link only, you can be part of "bnay Israyel" in the sense that you're observing the Law of God.

But in the end the first Patriarch Abraham, is the father of faith of all who believe in God's Law. So in a sense, we're "bnay Abraham" ;)

Esalaam

Not in a sense brother, but of a truth, the sons of Abraham are those who have the faith of Abraham, (a Jew is not a Jew outwardly etc Romans) those who do his works, and this is the work, that we believe in the name of the Son of God. Otherwise why should Maran Isho say think not to yourselves we have Abraham for our father?

Aylein d law men dema
wa-la men swyana dbsra
wa-la men swyana dgawra

And truely are we not grafted into the same root as the branches? That is Messiah is the root of that olive tree. Else how are we called the Israel of God by Paul at the end of Galations?
