I appreciate your thoughts. I don't see how it can be God though. It seems pretty clear to me that it is just dealing with record of his birth or death...not the actual non-existance of it. AND, he is one like the Son of God...and LATER the Son of God came and was "according to his order."
It just seems like a huge stretch to say it is God..or the Messiah. Maybe my mind will change on that, but for now it seem more logical to see him as a mysterious man who was an example for the later Messiah Y'shua who was to come.
I actually find Pauls arguments in this chapter to be a little confusing. But, I find that with a lot of his writings...even though I think I understand the 'gist' of what he is saying.
