Tzedakah
#1
Shlama Akhay,

The Aramaic form of the Hebrew word "Tzedakah" appears in Luke 12:33. While Tzedakah is used even in modern times by Jews to mean the giving of charity, the root (both in Hebrew and Aramaic) really means "Righteous[ness]". Some people actually think the word means money when it does'nt.

Luke 12:33 preserves Meshikha's very Hebrew expression "Give Tzedakah!" in a way that both Aramaic and Hebrew speakers would fully understand.
