Yes I know it's from metamind, and they are a bit kooky. Make that a lot kooky. Downright heretical even... But I think that is simply the Lamsa translation. Is it cool?

One problem, with Lord's Prayer. You say "do not bring us into trial". Lamsa says "do not let us enter into temptation". Obviously, since Satan is called the tempter, Lamsa's version sounds nicer. What is the best rendering?

And what is the rhyming bit? Just the words that end in "ma" "la" and "na"?

Lamsa is definitely off with the "do not let us" part - since the verb "Taa-lan {l-}" means "lead/bring us {into}". Lamsa was "theologically translating" again. <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s -->
