An idea for a plan for forum mining
#1
I noticed that the threads in the old forum are numbered. Probably from 0 or 1 to 3000. It is very easy to check a number of threads then, by just changing the number by one in your address bar (no need to click back and click on next thread).

So I think an efficient way of forum mining is to do it in 'bursts' of say 100 threads. You can even assign all your regulars (even me if you'll have me) say 500-600 threads. e.g. Paul does 0-500, Larry does 501-1000, Chris does 1001-1500, AGR does 1501-2000 etc.

I think like that, the mining is done quicksmart in no more than a few months (though likely in a few weeks). And it keeps it organised <!-- s:biggrin: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Big Grin" /><!-- s:biggrin: -->
