Paul Younan "Wordplay in Chapter 15 of Luqa...."

Quote:Shlama all,
There is a wordplay in Chapter 15 of Luqa (15:4-5), where the two words involved are:

Khad - "One"
Kh'da - "Rejoice"

Of course, the meaning of the parable is "Rejoicing over the one".

These things are simply lost in the Greek translations of Maran Eshoas Aramaic words.

Shlama w'Burkate,
Paul
