I noticed someone mentioned there has, in the past, been much discussion on the forum about audio files. He said it as though the idea was not positively received. Is there a general aversion on the forum to making audio files of Aramaic?

If you want to hear the Aramaic NT in the Peshitta's estrangela script read aloud by a native speaker, this is the only place I know it can be heard online, I've talked to Qasha Athanasis about getting CD copies and he said he is getting them prepared.

I inquired because I purchased Thackston's Grammar, and I am struggling to get off the ground with it without being able to hear it. Does anyone know of any existing resources that would compliment this Grammar?

I do not know of anything like that, but, those audio recordings that Thirdwoe linked to, from Qasha Athanasis is a good place to hear what the Aramaic words sound like, by a native speaker. I believe that both Thackston and Qasha Athanasis are using the same source text, the Aramaic of the Peshitta.
