Meltho fonts are OTF format, so they will automatically generate the proper contextual forms on Windows XP to present, Linux, and the latest version of Mac OS X. In order to get the various forms isolated you'll need to use a Zero-Width-Joiner (ZWJ) on the appropriate sides. Typing that character differs between operating systems, though.
As for "user friendly" all Meltho fonts map the same way, so the choice is purely aesthetic.
