A historical logic

Similar was under the communist rule.
The more you agree to the authorities and the idea the more you are promoted and have better material life. Even some people called their children by revolutionary names that the children could have better career and life.
I remember approximately that somebody famous from the old times wrote that Matthew wrote his Gospel in Hebrew and later it was translated into Greek language and therefore the Gospel was expressed even better. So, this is a way how Greek was advancing and consuming everything on its way.
Nothing is new under the sky - the human nature remains always the same.

Paul Younan Wrote:See, there were some benefits to living oppressed under pagans, rather than living oppressed under an official Christianity. On the one side, you lose your identity, but keep your head. On the other side, you lose your head, but at least the survivors keep their identity.

Really very well-said Akhi. That takes some pondering.

And the difference is that pagans is visible enemy that tries to destroy from outside that
makes defense unanimous but
official Christianity especially influenced (controlled) by the "strong of this world" is
invisible enemy and that is much worse.

One only need to consider the pressure Lamsa was under while living in the home of, and being financially supported by, Dr. Paul Wierwille. I'm convinced it had everything to do with Lamsa including extra-Peshitta books not found in the canon of the east. Among other things, like translational bias. Now imagine that x 1,000,000 under the heavy yoke of Byzantine intrigue. And you can easily see that, if the "official" version of the empire reads "Church of God, which He purchased with His own blood...", then your copies had better read that way, or else.

Sometimes, the pressure from friends is greater than that of enemies. We readily recognize wolves without the sheeps clothing, after all.

What we need is translation of CoE text into English book to give
to the world especially to http://www.persecution.org/
Its very hard to be persecuted and to have corrupted text.
