Seeing this number of people interested in Aramaic language is truly interesting.
I could not find the right place to ask this question, but I have recently watched Ben Affleck's "Argo" about the rescue operations of some American embassy employees in Tehran back in 1979.
Right before the escape operation, one could hear an oriental voice reciting some words.
I've been told it is the Lord's prayer "Aboun Beshmaya" in Aramaic.
Is that true? and what's the relation?
Could it be a mistake by the film maker who thought they speak Aramaic in Persia?!
Any ideas?
