Triple-Variant Resolved in Acts 2:30
#1
Shlama,

here's one i ran across a few weeks back that is worthy of note:

For he was a prophet, and recognized that Alaha had sworn an oath to him: ?From the fruit of your loin [one] shall be seated upon your throne.
(from the Peshitta)

the Peshitta reads D'KARSAK = "of your loin / belly / womb / ventricle"

the Greek manuscripts leave us flipping coins:

OSPHUOS = "loins" -- Byzantine and Westcott+Hort have this reading

KARDIAS = "heart" -- D* contains this reading

KOILIAS = "cavity / womb / belly" -- 1311, Irenaeus contain this reading

the Peshitta's singular reading with multiple defined facets easily accounts for the Greek variants. funnily enough, most of the Greek texts don't even align with the Septuagint's reading of KOILIAS... so even the Greek NT isn't using the Greek OT as a source-quote here!
