i forgot to give my impressions on the Arak:

definitely something different - i'm not much into hard liquor (good beer is my hobby), so it will take getting used to - but it was not unpleasant by any means! a great licorice flavor!

the Arak sufganiyot were a strike-out, unfortunately, so i'll be sticking to the traditional fillers...

Thanks for the feedback. It is definitely an acquired taste that I partake very infrequently. Like you,I'm a beer guy. I haven't forgotten about sending you some home brew. My wife accidentally broke my hydrometer and I haven't brewed in a while. Hope to get a batch brewed shortly.
