Fascinating homilitical interpretation. Very early post-biblical period method of eisigesis. I especially like the way you've taken an ancient approach to defending ideas popular in the Modern Orthodox and Reform movements. These ideas became especially popular in the post-Sho'ah Zionist movement, which mixed with humanism to deny the idea of an individual Messiah figure in favor of a nationalistic interpretation of messianism. Makes for an extremely interesting read.

I am intensely curious to learn how you work the Twelve into the idea that Israel was punished for Judah's crimes. These prophets seem to believe that Israel is being punished for her own sins. See, for instance, Amos 2:6-16

I'm sorry, for clarification by the "Twelve" I meant the twelve minor prophets, not the twelve tribes.
