I just need to know if you can translate this prayer for me. I am celebrating the Sukkot festival as THe Lord commanded in Leviticus 26, and have a prayer called ' Inviting the Chariots to the seven days of Sukkot" : The prayer is in aramaic and reads: bematie minakh Avraham ushpizi ilayi De ' yatvei imi ve ' imakh kol ushpizi ilayi Yitshak, Ya'akov Moshe veAharon, Yosef David

Thank you!

Hello,

If I am reading your transliteration properly, the prayer would read:

"I invite you Abraham, and all the honored guests (Isaac, Jacob, Moshe, Joseph, David and Aharon) to sit with you and I (at the meal)."

It's hard to tell unless you show me the actual text, or spell out the letters. Some meanings can change if I'm not reading your transliteration into latin characters properly.

Thank you! The translation has helped me very much. I really want to pray with understanding. What Aramaic language books are the best to teach me Aramaic? also, those that include aramaic vocabulary as well as grammar? Or should I say an Aramaic lexicon?

An excellent book on grammar with some reviews,
