Others should be able to add much more on this, but there is a verse in Isaiah 11:1, Aleppo Codex, which says:
???????? ?????? ???????? ?????? ???????? ???????????? ????????
JPS 1917 says, And there shall come forth a shoot [branch] out of the stock of Jesse, and a twig shall grow forth out of his roots.
The Hebrew word is "netzer".
