Personally, I do not want to get into theology as was a remark but from linguistic
point of view I have question since I was not seriously interested in it before.
I do not agree that "Mar'ya" = YHWH in the term of equivalent but in the term of
similarity.
YHWH is real name of God.
Mar = Lord.
What is YA?
Any solid proof?
Am sorry if it was answered before but duno where to find it.
Meem: Marutha ("Adonship")
Resh: Rabbutha (?Mightyness/Grandeur, Splendor, Greatness?)
Yodh-Aleph: Ethya ("Self-Existence')
Here Mar Ephraem tells us plainly that he believed the Yohd-Aleph (which are the only two letters he grouped together in the acronym) stood for "Self-Existent" which is a clear reference within the Hebrew language to the Divine Name (English transliteration: YHWH) or the Short Form thereof (YH/Yah).
In order to gain a good understanding as to why MarYa is not the emphatic of lord (i.e. - THE Lord) read the following post from Paul Younan's response on page 8 all the way thru page 14:
