Church of the East open/closed Communion?
#1
"Interestingly enough, The Church of The East has always had open communion. the only requirement being baptism. And we are one of the oldest Catholic/Orthodox churches.

I dont agree that it implies a closed communion, but rather that he was known, catechised, and a regular member of the church community. Which was the norm, and should be the norm today."

Hey Akhi PAul, I need you to fact check my friends above claim. In a discussion about Communion. About it being open or closed. Basically wether or not any Chrisitan in the COE can take communion (open), or if its restricted to members of that parish, jurisdiction etc.

Can you give me the details. Because my friend may be stretching things.....
