Khabouris Transcriptions

Man, Akhi Stephen, this is a God-send. I love the way it is organized. We will be able to completely get rid of the Western-text based Word docs on this site currently....and of course, these will be used as the basis of all upcoming interlinear chapters.

Awesome work.

Hi Steve,

I have never converted Online Bible 's edition to Estrangela; it remains in Hebrew characters; however, John Marucci has the entire 1905 text in Estrangala on his Beth Mardutho web site. I don't know exactly which font he uses.

Stop the press. I have the entire 1905 NT in Estrangela.Give me an email address; I can send it to you, or send you a link for downloading it.

Dave

Shlama Steve,

John Marucci has the most beautiful edition of the estrangela I have seen. It is the 1905 Syriac Peshitta complete with vowels and seyeme points. It is presented as 27 individual books.
There is a copyright; I suggest you query him about using it.
I'm sure he will be agreeable, since he is working with Peshitta.org and the text itself is not his , of course, just the script.
You may open any of his files in Microsoft Word and edit them.

Hi Dave:
Have you downloaded anything from this site.
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.peshitta.org/beth-sapra/library.html">http://www.peshitta.org/beth-sapra/library.html</a><!-- m -->

I am unable to download the books of the New Testament from this site. Have you been able to download any one of the books of the New Testament Peshitta in the last week?

Kind Regards,
Stephen

Shlama Steve,

I have downloaded everything from that site. The four gospels with apparatus showing variant readings for 42 mss. (Eastern and Western). This is the same text as the 1905 edition, and is the only critical text of the Peshitta gospels I know of.
