Couple of questions for Paul
#3
Shlama Akhi Larry,

Larry Kelsey Wrote:My questions are (#1) - Do you have any info on the Palpel verbal conjugation in any of your Aramaic grammars that you can scan and upload?

Thackston just has a little blurb on it in the last section of his grammar about the Vocalic patterning being exactly like the Pael pattern. He lists the three types of Palpel form, essentially they are:

(1) Quadriliterals (roots containing four distinct consonants (e.g., "TRGM")
(2) Biliterals (roots containing 2 distinct consonants), the two consonants are reduplicated (as in this example "RMRM" from "RM" - SEDRA erroneously identifies the root as RWM)
(3) Triliterals (3 consonants) have the third radical reduplicated (e.g., "ABDD" from "ABD")

Larry Kelsey Wrote:(#2) - In Yaqub 4:10, where James Murdock translates " Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you," wouldn't the idea be 'repeatedly or continually exalt you' since this is in the Palpel verbal conjugation?

Yes, the meaning would be "would greatly exalt you."
