I firmly believe that there will be a "rapture". This word appears in Latin versions of Scripture, I think, but the Greek uses harpadzo and the Aramaic uses netkhatap. The Lord shall return and the dead shall return to life in glorified form, while the living believers will be translated into the likeness of the glorified Lord Jesus after His resurrection. As Paul taught us in I Corinthians 15:39-54, we shall all (living and dead) receive glorified and perfected bodies. The Scripture shows that Jesus will return after the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:9; I Corinthians 15:52).
