Question on 1 Tim.3:16
#12
Thirdwoe Wrote:I understand Bro, but, what if it offends some others if you put a dash between the G" and "d" or the dash between the "L and "rd".... <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smile.gif" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile -->

Consider this:

M'Shikha used the word/term "Alaha" when referring to His Father as "God", so, it should be no offense to anyone who sees it. It might spark their interest and then you could tell them what the original form of the term that was used by M'Shikha, and His Shlikha, when they referred to ABBA.

Shlama,
Chuck

I've never run across anyone who was offended by me doing so, however if I do I will merely tell them the origins of the two terms and allow them to understand my reasoning.

You say "it should be no offense" however it very well could be offensive to anyone that doesn't know or care about the Aramaic texts. They could possibly think you were "lording" what you perceive is "special knowledge" over them.

It's really a none issue to me.

Peace.
