"if" is the big word there...I say It depends on what is thought by the word "succeed" too. Islam and Mormonism can be shown to have success by a certain definition of that term, but is God helping them to "succeed"? I wouldn't say so.
If it is how much money you might raise, or how large your "church" or religion or company gets, or how may copies of your translation you might print up and sell...that is not an indicator that God is behind the "success" or helping one succeed.
