Personally, I am seriously sceptical that any copyright is valid. The Ms appears to be in the Public Domain. Nevertheless, if you decide to publish any part of the manuscript, apart from a transcription (which is legal with no restrictions) you take the law into your own hands, if I'm mistaken. My advice, for what it's worth, is to use the manuscript for personal study purposes only, unless you have a letter of permission from the Leiden Institute, where it resides. None of us want to run afoul of the law.
