Shlama distazo,
If 'ploughshare' was intended in Mt 10:34, then I would expect to see the same phrase, kharba d-paddana, that is used in Lk 9:62.
kharba by itself does not take on the meaning of 'plougshare', it only takes on this meaning together with paddana - 'a yoke / plough'.
See <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://dukhrana.com/lexicon/PayneSmith/page.php?p=156">http://dukhrana.com/lexicon/PayneSmith/page.php?p=156</a><!-- m --> for more information on the uses of kharba.
Kindly,
Lars
