Aramaic newbie - recommendation on NT with vowels
#2
Shlama akhi,

a great choice it is to undertake studying in the original language!! you will be more blessed than you ever imagined! don't get discourage, but keep up the lessons and you will be rewarded!

here's a downloadable copy for free in both "Hebrew" Ashuri script and Estrangela.
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.torahwellsprings.org/Pages/peshitto.htm">http://www.torahwellsprings.org/Pages/peshitto.htm</a><!-- m --> - (scroll down a ways and you'll see the offerings available)

or, you can purchase an interlinear Aramaic/Hebrew version at:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.aramaicbooks.com/product_info.php?products_id=131">http://www.aramaicbooks.com/product_inf ... cts_id=131</a><!-- m -->

also, if you want the more correct readings from the PESHITTA itself, you can read them in the Ashuri script your looking for at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.Dukhrana.com">www.Dukhrana.com</a><!-- w --> - just select the Khabouris Codex and choose the Levistam font (a truly beautiful font based off of a Sepher script).

i would personally recommend learning a few different scripts, though. so many available helps online and in book form exist only in one script or another, so you really need to familiarize yourself with a few of them after awhile to take advantage of the full spectrum of aides.

hope you find what you're looking for! <!-- s:biggrin: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/biggrin.gif" alt=":biggrin:" title="Big Grin" /><!-- s:biggrin: -->

Chayim b'Moshiach,
Jeremy
