Slave to 2 Masters.
#1
This is a follow up query related to my previous posting on the Love of Money.

Matthew 6:24
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

In reading the lexicon of the scripture passage it appears to suggest that rather than serve two masters one cannot be a slave to two masters. Personally, I percieve a bit of a difference to being one servant as opposed to one's slave.

Also, Mammon can be interpreted as wealth or averice. The definition of averice is the insatiable desire for wealth or gain.

The point, as it relates to my other post, is whether it is wealth or the love of money/silver which enslaves men to suffering (to evil and hating God) or is it insatiable desires for temporal gains that leads men from God?
