I have been reading recently several articles from <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.livius.org">http://www.livius.org</a><!-- m -->, mostly written by Jona Lendering <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.livius.org/about.html">http://www.livius.org/about.html</a><!-- m -->
I'm no historian so cannot say if all there is true but for me it was just what I needed - some nice overviews of the rulers, conflicts, nations, ancient cities, etc.
