Aramaic English Standard Version
#6
yaaqub Wrote:Shlama,

The "AESV" OT is based mostly on Hebrew texts which they made corrections to with Aramaic and other Hebrew texts. This was told to me by the director of the Peshitta Foundation which publishes it. It has several translators working on it. I like their OT better than their NT. But that's my personal choice.

I'm personally working on a Peshitta Polyglot and interlinear of the same for OT and NT which includes English, Spanish and Septuagint and other sources side by side (for the Polyglot).

That's excellent Ya'aqub! <!-- s:bigups: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/bigups.gif" alt=":bigups:" title="Big Ups" /><!-- s:bigups: --> and long overdue might I add. Now we just need interlinears for the Samaritan Torah & the Targums! It's so great that these Bible texts are finally being made accessable to the general public, and long may it continue.

Shlama.
