Aramaic English Standard Version
#1
Don't know if you guys are aware of this translation of the Peshitta, by The Peshitta Foundation. I don't know exactly who these guys are, they call themselves Nasrani/Nasraya but I think they're the St. Thomas Christians. Their version is nice, but so far incomplete, it's a translation of the entire Peshitta Bible (including the Peshitta Tanakh) plus it's free of anglicanized names (ie: has MarYah, Alaha, Yeshua, Mshikha, etc.) and best of all it's online right here: http://www.standardversion.org/ I just wish they would finish it already. The Peshitta Foundation have also released a "mini" Peshitta in hardback called "The Little Peshitta" which can be purchased here: http://www.lulu.com/content/591082 but I haven't bought it yet so I don't know what it's like, is there anyone here who has? Would like you're opinion on the AESV, I'd especially like to hear Albion's opinion cause he seems to be the "version expert" <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smile.gif" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile --> on this forum.

Shlama,
Christina.
