Luke 6:42 or Matthew 7:5

judge Wrote:I seem to remember from the old forum that there was some wordplay in Luke 6:42 or Matthew 7:5

Quote:42How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,' when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Something about eyes and springs(?)...?
maybe my memory is faulty though. Any ideas?

Shlama Akhi:
You are referring to the Hebrew root used for "eye, spring or fountain", namely AYIN-YUD-NUN? It is Strong's # 5869.
