Prohibitation for mixing meat & milk, Biblical?

It makes sense- calf worship and paganism, not diet issue. Like in Hinduism where you drink milk for idolatry and so forth (anybody remember the milk sellout craze a few years ago when somebody claimed one of the statues drank the milk?). Of course for the sake of not throwing stones in a brothers path I will not eat that cheeseburger with somebody who takes that rule seriously.

Ditto. I wouldn't eat milk and meat together if I had an Orthodox brother with me. But for myself, I have no problem with it.
