Shlama Akhay Keith w'Paul,
What seems to be the problem with some guys ya run into is that they want to quote one verse but not any of the surrounding verses that further reveal the context!!
24 And as the church is subject to the Messiah, so also let wives be to their husbands in all things.
Sounds good...now let's take a look at Eph. 5:25...
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as the Messiah loved his church, and delivered himself up for it;
All kinds of guys would like Col. 3:18--
18 Wives, be ye subject to your husbands, as is right in the Messiah.
But what about 3:19?
19 Husbands, love ye your wives, and be not bitter towards them.
How about Keepa 3:5,6
5 For so also the holy women of old, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, and were subject to their husbands: 6 just as Sarah was subject to Abraham, and called him, My lord: whose daughters ye are, by good works, while ye are not terrified by any fear.
Again...sounds good...but what about Keepa 3:7?
7And ye husbands, likewise, dwell with your wives according to knowledge, and hold them in honor, as the feebler vessels; because they also will inherit with you the gift of eternal life: and let not your prayers be hindered. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <!-- s

According to Keepa 3:1-4, a godly wife can have a very evangelistic effect on those that don't obey the Word of God.
1 So also ye wives, be ye subject to your husbands; that, by your pleasing behavior, ye may gain over, without difficulty, those who obey not the word, 2 when they see, that ye conduct yourselves with reverence and chastity. 3 And adorn not yourselves with the external ornaments of curls of the hair, or of golden trinkets, or of costly garments. 4 But adorn yourselves in the hidden person of the heart, with a mild and uncorrupted spirit, an ornament that is precious before God.
By the way, two more entries to consider about the Estaphal verbal conjugation of 'ebad' are 'to be under control, restrained.
P. S. Akhi Paul, how does that phrase 'in the hidden person of the heart' of Keepa 3:4 factor into your Qnoma / Kyana / Parsopa teachings? <!-- s
