Actually, it's been disproven, that's just the rumour that these editors, whoever they are, are using for their justification of calling their revision what they call it. Here's a couple other reviews,

I didn't know they had disproven it! I guess that's good news for us and a waste of a title for them.

Re: Sigh - distazo - 12-30-2012

Actually,
One does not have to 'modify' the NT to show that gay people can be blessed too.

There are, e.g., some arguments that the roman officer, who begged for help to Jesus to heal his 'boy' had a relationship with his boy, that was ill.

Re: Sigh - distazo - 12-31-2012

I do not condemn or Judge, just tell what is told.

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://jesusinlove.blogspot.nl/2012/03/gay-centurion-jesus-heals-soldiers.html">http://jesusinlove.blogspot.nl/2012/03/ ... diers.html</a><!-- m -->

I have friends, who cannot deny being it from birth (as far as they remember). So, they should be killed by Jeshu for being so?

He died for sinners, for sinful people NOT for self-righteous people but that's just my understanding <!-- sConfusedtupid: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/withstupid.gif" alt="Confusedtupid:" title="Stupid" /><!-- sConfusedtupid: -->

But the Bible should not be modified for these purposes, not for any purpose.

I too am a sinner from birth. That makes zero difference and is completely irrelevant to the discussion.

As for the link, that is completely stretching it. Not only would that have been a detail worth noting, like every other sinner who is healed or saved, there is the fine print at the end of the healing - "Go! But do not sin again". Obviously we see none of that. Now the soldier didn't want him to come into his house because he was a Gentile and Jews are not supposed to step foot in their dwellings, less they come unclean (according to Oral Law).

If anyone wants to check Strongs/Thayers to see what that word actually means without it being twisted, look here.

Re: Sigh - distazo - 12-31-2012

Hi Luc,
Give me one good reason why Jeshu would condemn homosexuals but not prostitutes or women like at JOhn 4:18?

I believe that talking about Christians who were homosexual from birth was -not done- anyway and neither to talk about it or to write about it. But that does not change the fact that 5% of the humanity is like that.
So, why would a sinner in that 5% range be more sinful than me or you?

Who said anything about condmening? No one. But when healing takes place, it is often accompanied with the warning not to sin again, less something worse happen to them.

Did I say that? Has anyone here said that? Again, no. Please stop making assumptions. Rather, realize that I have admitted to also being a sinner from birth. One no greater or no lesser than the sinners we are discussing now. We are all in need to His redemption and are powerless to overcome apart from Him.

Re: Sigh - Paul Younan - 12-31-2012

Shlama Akhi Distazo

There was a time when people who have this condition took a vow of celibacy and entered the priesthood to serve God. Because they knew it was wrong to live in that lifestyle. Even I they are that way from birth (lots of scientific evidence of this being caused by hormonal issues while developing in the womb, some from environmental sources.)

Note that it is completely different to alter scripture to suit the agenda of those who don't agree that it is sinful to engage in same-gender sexual intercourse.

ok, sorry you did not say that. But I think that the story about the centurion is a possibility, not so far stretched as you wrote.
