I haven't got it, but I think that the Aramaic text is in Hebrew square Ashuri script instead of Estrangelo. In both the 1st and 2nd Editions the font was Estrangelo.

Re: 3rd edition - noordos - 12-04-2010

I have both the 2nd and the 3rd. I haven't really done a good comparison of the two.

They both have 1069 pages.
The weekly Scripture readings in the back are reformatted into a table with 2 columns.

I see an additional appendix called "Alef Tav" and another new one, "Divinity Passages".
The appendix in the 2nd edition titled: "Mashiyach Y'shua is YHWH" has been changed to "YHWH is Y'shua the Mashiyach".
This change in wording is also refelcted in certain passages. The reason is explained in the "Divinty Passages" appendix.

The english text retains the same formatting. For example: page 238 in both versions begins with Yochanan 3:1 and ends with 3:23
I haven't read enough to know if the multiple typos in the 2nd have been corrected.

The biggest difference is the Ashuri Hebrew script with vowel points replacing the Estrangela.

I hope that I was able to help you, even if it was only a little.

I like the idea since ashuri is based on Imperial Aramaic script <!-- sWink --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/wink1.gif" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /><!-- sWink -->

Re: 3rd edition - sean - 12-05-2010

Thanks for the replies, I still have to read the 2nd edition even just the bible text only completely, from the beginning till the last page of revelation. I've had the lamsa bible for about five or six years. Anyway, still thanks for the replies.
